3 oz 1 quart bag in Europe?

Although we've traveled a lot in Europe since 9/11 we have actually not flown within Europe. We are used to finding larger sizes of toothpaste, shampoo, etc early on and using that for our trip, disposing of leftovers when we leave. This summer we are taking the Best of Portugal tour, then flying to London for Best of London (Easy Jet). Will we need to leave larger liquids behind in Portugal or can we take them in carry on's (no checked baggage)? Same 3 oz 1 quart bag rule as TSA? Thanks!

Same rule except that actually is 100 ml. That is 3.38 oz - not that it makes much difference.

The only difference you may find in going through airport security in the U.S. and in Europe is that in Europe you may be able to leave your shoes on.

I was also surprised to find travel sized toiletries in supermarkets and pharmacies in tourist areas.

Yes, last trip (yesterday) they let me keep my shoes on - but not my belt or jackets. He made me take my neck wallet off - probably wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't pointed it out to him.

I had my liquids in a little clear plastic carry case that's the same size as a quart bag. The security guy sent it to secondary where the other security guy took the contents out, put them in a quart bag, then put the quart bag in the case. He was interested in the 3 oz. sun lotion I had. It's the largest item and I think he was mainly looking for the amount of contents.
