Krakow to Auschwitz

There are three ways to get to Auschwitz. 1. Take a bus tour from Krakow. Its pricey ($40 US) and a little rushed, but stress free 2. Take the regular intercity bus. 1.5 hour ride, very cheap ($7 US RT). Sometimes these buses can get over crowded and some people may have to stand during part of the journey. Buses that take you directly to the camp will be called "Oswiecim-Museum".
3. Train via from Krakow to Oswiecim. Station is about a mile from both camps, easily walkable or you can take a taxi. Not as many departures as the intercity bus, and a little bit more expensive.

Quick Tip: At Brikenbau, tour bus drivers with empty seats will try sell those seats to people waiting for the shuttle bus. If offered, got for it. They will charge the same amount as the inter-city bus, and on the way back you will get a non-stop journey and you have a good chance of them dropping you off very close to your hotel.
