I haven't been to any of those places, except. Verona. I was going to suggest Plitvice, but I see you already have it!

Even though I have been to all 3 countries, I have not been to some of the cities you listed, but you must have researched things to draw you to those cities. My overall advice is to schedule once a week a down time day since you are travelling with young kids and find something just for kids on another day. You have a lot of day trips scheduled and that can be exhausting for all. I always schedule on a long trip a down period of two days for myself every two weeks. Also, keep in mind that travel between cities will eat into your sightseeing on that day. Be sure you have the proper International Drivers License (Required in Italy) and your rental agency will allow your car to leave and enter Slovenia and Croatia otherwise your insurance will be voided. The plan is interesting and I hope you all enjoy.

Of course people can give you answers. And people have given you answers, probably 100 responses to the various threads you have started. This is the 12th or 13th thread for the same trip. 4-5 in the Croatia forum, the same in Slovenia. Over and over the same questions. Most people who answer questions here will not respond to the 3rd or 4th thread. It's considered rude.

Love all the countries you plan to see.
One thing, the highways in Croatia are not the greatest. You don't include Dubrovnik! It is wonderful.
Visting Split, Trogir and Dubrovnik are easy to do on a cruise.
