Why do you only have until tomorrow to make reservations? Are you wanting a hotel near the Rialto Bridge? You could probably find it on a map in a guidebook to Italy, or here:

You might want to try going onto "Google" and see what it shows you. You may also be able to "google" the address for the hotel you're looking at to see Exactly where it is on the map.

If you will paste the following link into your internet browser, it will bring up a page from this very website.

http://www.ricksteves.com/news/travelnews/0602/italy_downloads.htm

Rick Steves has created audio tours for some of the major sites/areas in Rome, Florence, and Venice, and he also includes downloadable maps of these areas. Scroll to the bottom of the page, click on "Download Grand Canal maps", and you can get a general idea of the bridge location in relation to the canal.

The map on the Lonely Planet website gives you a better idea of where the bridge is located in relation to the overall island: http://www.lonelyplanet.com/maps/europe/italy/venice/ .

ds,

I'd suggest checking the Italy Guidebook for listings of reasonably priced accommodations in various parts of Venice. The book also provides excellent information for getting around via Vaporetto in Venice. Finally, the Guidebook also contains Maps which clearly show the location of the Rialto Bridge. If you have a photocopier available, take an enlarged copy of the map with you to use when you arrive.

I have the impression from reading your Posts that perhaps some of your trip planning is being done at "the last minute". I've always found that planning well really helps in avoiding problems or "unexpected situations" (although there are no guarantees).

Good luck and happy travels!

Also check out Starhotel Splendid Suisse. About 1-2 American blocks from Rialto on the main route between Rialto and St. Mark's square. Wonderful central location.
