Is anyone else experiencing sticker shock? Airfare last year Orlando to Newark to Amsterdam bid through Priceline was 560.00 roundtrip. We can't get within 300.00 of that this year, Any suggestions?

Prices for airline tickets for flying to Europe were unusually low in the year 2009 (especially for travel before June). Prices are high this year. Wait until next year.

Sticker shock - yes!! I'm planning to go in may, 2011 - any forecasts? Right now, it's about $950.-$1,000. Chicago to Munich. I've heard rumours prices may go down, but it's hard to know.

What everyone else said.
Friends of mine went in late June/early July last year and their airfare on a "regular" airline was about the same as the "cheapo" Icelandair prices are for October this year - around $850, from the west coast.
Luckily, both the BF and I are young enough to qualify for STA's special pricing and snagged the same tickets for about $650 each.
