We have an extra 2 days on our trip to Germany. I was wondering if it is worth a trip to Brussels? (Rick Steves: One of Europe's Great Travel Secrets) Also, I was wondering if it handicap accessible? Car rental worthy?
(My aunt walks with a cane, for far distances needs a wheelchair)

I would visit Bruges instead. It's just an hour away from Brussels.

Brussels isn't the most immediately pretty city in Europe (or even Belgium), but I find it more interesting everytime I visit- Bruges, on the other hand, diminishes with each subsequent visit. I would NOT use a car within the city. Traffic is awful, navigation is very difficult, and parking is very scanty. Although the metro system covers most of the city, someone with a handicap might have problems getting around, particularly in the area between the Grand Place and Royal Palace.
