Hi...We're planning a trip in Oct. and I'm wondering if anyone has taken a ferry from Tunisia to Venice? If you have what line did you use?
Thanks Pam

Pam - Your question has gone unanswered, so I'm going to guess few people here are likely to have an answer. I'm also going to guess that there are likely to be few, if any, ferries between Venice and Tunisia because ferries usually try to go between the closest points of land. You're probably more likely to find ferries to Africa at the tip of the boot in Reggio di Calbria.
But also try your question at Lonelyplanet.com. It has a greater number of travelers likely to have crossed between Italy and Africa.
Thanks Doug...appreciate the lead. Pam
Try Genoa to Tunis, if you can get to Genoa.
From Tunis, you can only catch ferries to Genoa, Palermo, and Salerno in Italy.
Pam - Checking since last night, I saw that there should be ferries from Genoa, which wouldn't be a bad train trip from Venice. But it would be one long boat ride..
Thanks for all the information.
Try here: http://www.directferries.co.uk/tunis_ferry.htm they show ferries from Genoa, Citavecchia (Rome), Salerno (Near Naples/Amalfi), and Palermo, Sicily.
