We will be requiring 2 phones during our one week stay in Paris in June - we will be taking our current phone on international roam and are requiring another phone as some of our travel group will be going in different directions. Just wondering what would be the best options for us - is it perhaps more economical for us to get a cheap pre-paid deal and if so where is the best place to purchase one.

Is anyone a student, a teacher, or under 26? Try www.myISIC.com. You can get an ISIC discount card with many perks - one of them is a $29 unlocked cell phone with 20 free minutes. It also receives calls in France with no charge.

I got an iphone so that I can email ( or instant message with google) for free at any WiFi spot in Europe. That's the best deal.

Tricia, its only if you get to a wifi place that its a good deal. If you're out and about, some times its not easy to stop, text and then move on.
