You have created a circular route which gets you back to your starting point for your departure flight. That is the positive.

With no info about which of your destinations you intend to stay at ( and how long), its difficult to offer an informed comment on your plan.

I believe my kids were fairly typical and I would not have taken them on such a busy trip at age 5. It looks like you are traveling almost everyday from "here to there". . ( but your post omits this detail)

Is your child a "good traveler", that is, is the child OK to sit in a car as much as you are planning

Completing the loop in the allotted time is probably doable, from the logistical standpoint

How enjoyable it will be......hmmm

Only you know your child so ultimately it is your judgement that matters.

I am wondering if getting your car in Munich might be more efficient and possibly cheaper. Are these your planned stopover points? With 16 nights?

Arrive Stuttgart. Train to Rhine (2N)
Train to Munich (2N) (pick up car)
Drive to Fussen/Garmisch (1N)
Drive to Innsbruck (2N)
Drive to St Moritz (2N)
Drive to Lauterbrunnen (3N)
Drive to Colmar (2N)
Drive to Stuttgart (2N) (drop off car)
Depart Stuttgart

Hello bsrblues. I think your proposed travel plan consists of too much traveling. I recommend : go to Germany and Austria, only.
