I'm thinking about going to Italy in October this year. How is the weather like there at that time of year? I would like to go to Rome, Venice, Cinque Terre and maybe Amalfi coast.
Thanks.
Here is our experience.
We were in Italy from mid October to early November. We had come from North of the Alps where it was clear and cold. Once in Italy it was comfortable but we had some light rain, overcast and humidity. We visited Verona (overcast in the 60's), Venice (variable clouds, 60's, very light rain one night), Modena (mostly clear 60's), CT (mostly clear 70's), Florence (70's mostly clear and humid), Hill towns (clear 70's) and Rome (mostly clear, 70's and humid, light rain one night).
Generally it was very pleasant. I think October is a good choice for the area.
