Hi I am wondering if anyone has a BnB that they really enjoyed in Paris that is either easy to reach Paris core or close to sites that is reasonably priced for 2 people?
Thanks Carol
Hi Carol.. just noticed this post at bottom of the heap with no answers.. ?
Anyways.. Paris is not really big on the concept of B@Bs.. its a big city .. folks don't want strangers in their homes,, lol
Staying outside and commuting in make little sense finacially or time wise.. a train for 45 or minutes twice a day. plus the extra cost .. no.
Many hotels offer breakfasts.. they are invariably over priced and rarely included in the price. Most people find it wiser to just walk out the door to a little cafe nearby. Hotel breakfasts rarely include a cooked egg.. its often breads, some jam, coffee or tea, maybe some yogurts , cereals and cheeses. Sometimes you can order a soft or hard done egg for a few extra euros. Breakfast is not a huge think in France.. lunch is!
I don't know what you consider reasonable.. but I have stayed in several clean central hotels.. they are definately not luxury but they all have a/c, most have mini fridges( great for storing snacks) and all have SMALL rooms.
Hotel Diana **
Hotel Eugenie**
Hotel Des Grand Hommes***
Hotel Le Regent***
Hotel St Pierre**
Hotel Place de la Louvre***
As I said ,, all are clean and in safe very convenient locations.. I would stay in any of them again( and have) each has strenghts and weaknesses. Some had pretty decor, but cost more, some had better locations but Motel 6 decor. etc. Ask me if any interest you .
Would you be interested in an apartment? Most require a 5 night stay or more. The benefit is that you can have breakfast in your room at your leisure, you'd have a nice living area to unwind in and you can still go out to eat rather than cook if you'd like. We always use B & B's, but I'm looking forward to our apartment in Paris this summer. I found it on "home away", but there are several sites. Just an idea.
Good morning Carol,
We are staying at the Hotel de la Tulipe, near the Eiffel Tower. I did a lot of research and things were booked up. Look at the site. Maybe it might be something you might be interested in.

Last summer my daughter & I used a "homestay" service called Good Morning Paris, which we enjoyed very much. We spent 3 nights in Elisabeth's apartment in the Latin Quarter, very near the Monge metro stop. We had a nice room, a reasonable size for us and our suitcases, and she fed us a tasty breakfast every morning of juice, croissants with butter and jam, yogurt, and coffee/tea in her bright dining room, looking out over a park. And it was less than 100 euros per night - I think 85 or something like that. A very convenient spot and a pleasant hostess. PM me if you'd like more information; I realize this is not exactly the American idea of a B&B but it worked well for us.
