Thanks for sharing! I am a gardener, and I love to check out gardens when traveling. I'll be in four of those cities (Athens, Prague, Warsaw, and Budapest) in the next year, so I saved the gardens in Google Maps.
Thanks again for taking the time to share!
Just returned from Sweden, Gothenburg and Stockholm.
The garden mentioned in Stockholm is beautiful, but not large.
The Botanical Garden in Stockholm is huge, beautifully curated, organized with different environments.
And on one side of the entrance to the Botanical garden there's a large city park, with woods, open meadows and a small zoo. On the other side of the Botanical garden is Änggårdsbergen Nature Reserve trails and viewpoints over the city of Gothenburg.
I spent hours there almost daily.
The Bardini Gardens in Florence, while not a secret, are never busy, at least not when I’ve been there.
Everyone wants to go to the Boboli Gardens with the crowds.
In Palermo, the Botanic Garden is small and interesting.
In Munich this would be the Rosengarten (Rose Garden), the Westpark, the Kabinettsgarten and the Hirschgarten.
