We r a family of three phones going to France for ten days. We are staying in two different hotels so we need to connect. Has anyone used ESim card with Verizon. I phone 11.
Yes, I used an eSIM from Airalo for a 3-week trip to Germany last year, and loved it! It worked really well, and saved me from having to pay Verizon's outrageous international plan fees. There are other eSIM plans, but I like Airalo as it is inexpensive and their instructions for downloading and activating the eSIM are very explicit.
Since then, I have changed providers and now use T-Mobile, which gives me free international calling and data. But I wouldn't hesitate to use an eSIM again if needed. You might want to check the Technology Tips forum for more information, too. There are quite a few posts dealing with eSIMs and Verizon.
I have an iPhone 12 and use Verizon. I have a dual e-sim, unlocked phone and used Airalo in Italy a couple of months ago. It worked great for me.
My eSIMs from three different carriers worked great in my iPhone 11 & 13 over the last two years. Although I have Verizon, the eSIM works independently of the carrier. As long as your phones are unlocked you will be all set. You can use both a Verizon plan and an eSIM in the same device.
Here is the Verizon info about unlocking phones. All of the phones need to be unlocked for the eSims to work. Even though it appears to be an automatic process, I would still verify with Verizon: https://www.verizon.com/business/support/equipment-devices-services/wireless-devices/unlock-device/
