We will be in Paris July 18-19 and want to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower. All tour companies show they are booked. How do we get 2 tickets?

Booking ticket window opens ahead of your dates: 60 days (elevator access), 40 days (stair access) and then 7 days (last minute). So you're too early for July. The largest number of tickets are released at exactly 1 pm Paris time 7 days out. Early releases often push you to buy expensive Champagne tickets etc.
