Saint Saturnin Les Apt

We loved Saint Saturnin and the Luberon overall! We stayed at Le Mas Perreal, a RS-recommended B&B just outside of Saint Saturnin, and ventured into the town several times. Even during high season, it didn't feel touristy. It's not exactly central Provence but could still be a good home base depending what towns and sights are important to you. We also stayed at Le Mas Perreal and would definitely do it again. The Franco-American couple who run this place are so welcoming; we felt like we were part of their family. It's not too far from some of the top Luberon sights such as Roussillon, yet seems like it's the true Provencal countryside--not overly touristy.

But don't plan to stay there in the real off-season (e.g. hotels are closed in November).
