Question about connecting in Boston to Paris on Air France

I am flying Delta from Austin to Boston and then connecting to Paris. Will be placed on Air France from Boston to Paris.

I have connected once or twice in Boston.

I think I remember a long walk but a people mover is available.

Do I have to go through security again? How about immigration? I do not remember.

And I assume that I will be going to Air France counter if I need to.

And what are persons experiences with Air France Boston to Paris or Air France in general? I have never flown Air France.

Thank you Mardee

I am going to look at my confirmation again ...... see what terminal I am arriving at in Boston and which one I am leaving from.

If it is at all possible, I would love to walk from domestic to international.

We love Air France. They pour a glass of sparkling wine before dinner, provide great wine at dinner, and provide a cognac after. The food was great. We try to get on Air France every chance we can get.

We flew Air France from Boston to Paris (9:30pm departure) 3 weeks ago. You leave out of terminal E. You will likely come in to Terminal B or C. It's a bit of a hike between terminals, but you do all of the walking inside security. I often walk back and forth between terminals to get some steps before boarding the flight. Remember you can always ask for assistance through the airport, by asking your airline 2 days before the flight.
If you'll have access to Air France lounge it's at the end of teminal E, closest to the beginning of terminal C. If you've booked this as a single flight (delta code share's with Air France) then likely they will look at your passport before leaving Austin (at the checkin desk), but if you're not sure just go to the desk at the departure gate in Boston, and ask them if they need to check your passport. Often you'll hear several names announced to proceed to the departure gate desk for passport check. If you get there before they announce, they will just check right then for you and you'll be all set.
For our flight we sat in economy, the food and service was standard airline fare. They did offer wine before and during meal service, but always ask for a glass of water with it, stay hydrated! We have priority pass which used to allow us into Air France lounge, this time I noticed they have a new time restriction, priority pass holders only allowed in the mornings until 1:30pm. The woman at the lounge desk allowed us in because we were flying Air France. The lounge is fine, nothing too special but it's nice to get some food and drink before boarding the plane, then I can try to skip the meal.

Thank you everyone for your help and your replies

I went back to the email that I got from Delta with the supposedly easy terminal map which really confused me. There is a number to call and tomorrow I am going to call.

I went to Logan Airport and it looks like I am arriving Terminal A and departing Terminal E.

I think that I remember people walking from one terminal to the other. And I think that there is a people mover.

My preference is to walk from one terminal to another if it is a reasonable walk..

Again, thanks to everyone for your helpful input.

I don't believe there is a "people mover" in BOS. You can walk from A to E (it is convoluted but doable), but there is also a bus between terminals. I believe the bus goes in order, so you don't have to do a full loop to get to E. But I would walk. The terminals aren't that far apart.

Thank you.

Delta offers a shuttle of some kind between terminals but if possible and there is time, I would prefer to walk.

I hate getting off of a plane and having to take a vehicle to the next plane. Would prefer to walk if I could but I also need to be realistic.

The Logan Airport website is very clear there is no post-security connection between terminal A and E.

https://www.massport.com/logan-airport/flights/connecting-flights

Terminal A is not connected to the other terminals post-security.
Passengers who arrive in Terminal A can connect pre-security using the
pedestrian walkways between the terminals or Boston Logan’s free
On-Airport Shuttle bus system to connect to the other terminals. Check
with your airline for other connecting options.

I thought the Logan Airport site was clear.

I am going to call Delta however because I have some other questions.
