I will be flying on Delta from Newark (EWR) to Paris (CDG) with a connecting flight (all on one ticket) from Logan Airport. From what I've cobbled together, it looks as though I'll be flying into Logan from Newark into Terminal A and out of Logan to Paris, Terminal E. It also appears that I will either walk through the parking garage in Logan to Terminal E or take a shuttle. Furthermore, it looks as though I will have to go through Security at Terminal E. Are my assumptions correct? TIA.
You are correct. The only connections at Logan between Terminal A and Terminal E are pre-security.
Thank you, Tryon.
No, the only connections between A and E do not require you to go through security. Delta runs a shuttle from the A terminal to the E terminal, follow the signs.
It’s a bus and it takes you to terminal E. That said I took it about two weeks ago. I’m walking from now own. I do have pre-check and clear so I’m not as worried about security at E I can walk faster, but you do not have to go through security again if you don’t want

Delta’s complimentary shuttle bus runs between terminals from 4:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., 7 days a week.
Terminal A bus stop: near gates A13 – A22
Terminal E bus stop: near gate E13
That's great news, Carol. I'm relieved to hear that I won't have to go through security, again. We are also TSA approved.
"That said I took it about two weeks ago. I’m walking from now own." Would you clarify why that is? I'd rather walk, too.
We used the Delta shuttle between Logan terminals 4 times last year for both outgoing and returning travel. The time it takes varies, once it was very quick and rather slow another time. We could probably walk it a little faster but it's nice to stop dragging the carry on for a while. You just have to make sure you have enough time to transfer between the terminals.
I walked it before and I felt like I could walk it faster than the shuttle. That’s why I would probably walk next time.
Thanks Silas and Carol. Our layover is 3 hours and 16 minutes, if all goes according to plan.
The only airside connection between Terminals A and E is the Delta shuttle bus, as described above. So fine for intl departures. However, it isn't as straightforward when arriving on an international flight to E and then connecting to a domestic flight in A. Upon arrival, you must go through the immigration check, pick up your bag for customs (if you have a checked bag) - you can then use the baggage re-check and walk to A using the skybridge - then go through security in A, or else go through security in E and take the airside shuttle back to A. There are also shuttle buses outside on the street if you would rather not walk over to A. Watch the video accessed vis the Delta link above.
Thanks, Markcw. Fortunately, I have a direct flight to Newark from Paris. It does sound as though to remain airside and not have to go through customs at Logan, I need to take the Delta bus from Terminal A to Terminal E.
