Passion Monument Subscription and Concerts at Sainte Chapelle

Has anyone actually purchased the Passion Monument Subscription for France? Have you used it to purchase concert tickets at Sainte Chapelle?

The price for the first year is €45 for 1 person, €70 for 2. In addition to free, unlimited entry to a number of sites throughout France, it offers a discount on some cultural events like concerts at Sainte Chapelle.

I'm looking at a concert at Sainte Chapelle in April and the pass would bring the ticket price from €60 to €30.

Hi! I haven't used it to purchase concert tickets at Sainte-Chapelle yet. But I've had the Passion Monument Subscription since the beginning of 2023 and I really enjoy it.

Jean...I have the 70euro Passion Monuments Pass (myself plus a guest) and did use it to book concert tickets at Saint Chapelle. I will not be in Paris until May. I am curious, did you have any trouble with your concert tickets? After I booked them, I started to wonder if each ticket would require its own Monuments Pass or if mine would be fine due to the fact that it is for 2 persons.

No problem at all. When I booked my ticket on the Theatre in Paris site, there was a notation that I would be required to show my pass.

Instead I received an email from them the next day asking me to confirm that I had a subscription. I replied that I did and provided the validity dates.

On the evening of the concert, I only showed my ticket. The pass wasn't requested.

I'm sure that if you are requested to show your pass, there will be no problem since your pass will show your duo subscription.

Thank you very much!

Do they give you a chance to walk through the space either before or after the concert?...or is it more similar to a concert in the States where they rush you out as soon as the event is over?

The seats are arranged so you really can't walk around much. However you can stand and look around and take pictures before the show. They will remind everyone to turn off phones, no pictures during the concert. After the concert they pretty much sent us on our way.

If you have time during your stay, try to book a day visit. And you can cut the daytime security line. Just show the guard you Passion pass and he'll put you ahead of others.

Also, it is open seating, divided by ticket category 1 closest to the performers. Try to get seats where 1 of you are on the inside aisle for better view. There were a lot of craning necks trying to see. But, the acoustics were great.

I am wondering if anyone has been able to find a promo code for the Passions Pass. I see there is an option to add one & didn’t know if perhaps there might be a way to locate a code before I purchase. Any information you might have would be greatly appreciated. Also, do you know if the pass expires 1 year from date of purchase, or from first use?

The pass expires 1 year from date of purchase.

I did not come across any promo codes when I was looking for information on the pass. But, the pass itself is an excellent value.

Hello-Thank you for sharing this! This is something I would love to get! My question is: how does this pass work! I went on some sites that have reserved ticketing...but no where does it say do you have a pass etc. Can someone guide me on this! I feel like I am missing something obvious! I know some places don't need reservations but sometimes I feel like this is a good thing when you are travelling during the summer months! For example, St. Chappelle...paid tickets for day and time...but how can I reserve tickets?

venus365,

Take a look towards the bottom of my trip report. I answered this question for someone else.

And at Sainte-Chapelle, you can skip the security line. Just show the guard your pass and tickets. Each site works a bit differently.

St. Chapelle is tiny and so there is no need to 'walk around' and look after the concert. The seats take up most of the floor space. IMHO the best seats are towards the back because I am there to see the glass not some guy sawing away at a violin playing Four Seasons. Get there early enough to sit back and look at the glass and take your pictures. I suspect the no pictures during the performance rule is about not being annoying to everyone else. but before the concert begins and on a sunny evening you can enjoy the glass, photograph it and stand in place to turn and look at parts you haven't seen.

Interesting that the pass helps you skip the security line -- that would make it a good investment.

Janet, it really is a good value. Membership is for 1 year and after the first year is €40 single and €62 duo. The duo is for you and a guest.
