We will be buying a museum pass for our family. Four of us are 18 and older and our youngest is 10. I am assuming with the museum pass we do not have to wait in line? However, if one of us (the 10yr old) does not have a museum pass, will he be able to "skip the line" with those of us with a museum pass? Sorry if this question sounds lame, we have never been to Europe and this is all new to us. Take care!
Yes, he can skip with you. I toured with my 16 yo son and at Louvre, D'Orsay he went right in the special pass line with me.

You can skip the ticket line but you still have to go through security. If there's a line for security, you'll have to wait in that.
Sarah is correct. Everyone stands in the same security line to enter Versailles (except those attending the guided tours), Saint Chapelle has a separate line for those with passes and all others, but have the option of just having a single line to go through security. The Louvre has a separate line as well for those with a pass, the two lines go through the same security point together then split up between those who still need to purchase tickets and those with tickets and passes can go straight to the exhibits. The line for those with passes is line "C" at the Musee Orsay, located in the back of the glassed entrance if you have the Seine at your back, just to the left of the row of female statues.
