Latin Quarter Hotels ??

We are planning Paris for May 2026. Looking to stay in the Latin Quarter. 2 adults. Mid 60’s. Very active so walking is fine. Please recommend hotels. Or should we look at VTBO ? Probably 5-7 nights.

Updated we are also considering the Saint Germain 6th arrondissement. Please advise for hotels

What is your budget (in euros)? There are lots if hotels in that area at most price points. Booking.com is a good source of hotels, with reliable reviews (and you can use their filters to refine the search.). But book directly with the hotel where possible. The last 3 times we were in Paris we stayed at the Hotel des Grands Hommes. Its a lovely little boutique hotel across the street from the Pantheon.

We've enjoyed Hotel des Grandes Ecoles our last few visits to Paris. It's on a quieter street east of the Pantheon, easy walking distance to Metro and bus stops. It's also a pleasant walk from there to Rue Mouffetard or the Place Monge market.

The hotel is very quiet, in the midst of a small private garden. The staff is great, and the optional breakfast is very good (not a buffet.) We're booked into a superior double this coming June for €305 per night, breakfast included. The rooms are small, even the "superior" rooms, but charming and spotlessly clean.

Hotel Abbatial Saint Germain is our favorite. Beautiful neighborhood with good restaurants and rooms with small balconies. Very nice breakfast, too.

Fred's review of the Hotel des Grands Ecoles is consistent with our experience there many years before. It was one of the RS-recommended hotels when the guidebook included the Latin Quarter.

Stayed at Hotel du Parc Saint-Séverin in September. Small rooms (like most hotels in Paris) but has an great breakfast, great location, and a staff that is most helpful.
