hotel

My husband, granddaughter and I will be in Paris May 27 - June 8. I have been looking for a hotel but can't find much for under $500 a day. I think the main problem is that we want a room which will accommodate all 3 of us (2 beds). Also not sure what a good location would be. We would like to stay in an area convenient to public transportation and that would be nice for walking to shops and places to eat breakfast. I would appreciate any suggestions as to location and actual hotel. Thanks.

One of the reasons you may be finding high rates is because the French Open is between May 24 and June 7.

The apartment that came up in the search is at 53 Ter, Quai Des Grands Augustins, Paris, 75006, France - which arrondissement is that in? And it was very expensive - probably due to the French Open.

none of the suggestions to your prior question worked out? https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/france/grandparent-grandchild-hotel A quick search on Booking.com shows many options well under 500US per night - you can search by number of room occupants and filter for other criteria. Open the map view to see locations, I myself would pick something central and close to a metro stop. You don't need to use that site to book, but it's handy for searching and reviews.

Is your granddaughter a child or adult age?

Besides the French Open, you are looking for 12 nights. Some hotels will limit the number of nights you can book online.

The Courtyard by Marriott Gare de Lyon has rooms available during your dates starting at €414 with king bed and sofa bed. All rooms have air conditioning.

Here is a recent post on the hotel. Scroll down to Kim's excellent post on transportation connections in the area.

In 15-20 minutes you can be at the Louvre, Musée d'Orsay or Notre Dame.

Generally the last digit of the zip code is the arrondissement:

Given the tennis event and your long stay, you might consider booking two different properties to get a feel for different parts of the city. This might give you more options.
