Group dining recommendations

Hi, We will be in Paris in May with about a group of 10-12 adults and was looking for restaurant recommendation near Cler Hotel or possibly Saint Germain or Latin Quarter area. I would like to make reservations for Friday and Saturday night to make it easy for everyone. Lately in the USA cancellation carry an expensive burden is this also happening in Paris? Key to the recommendation is delicious food and not too too expensive. Thank you!!

You might want to consider Les Papilles on Rue Lussac in the Latin Quarter. There is a prix fixe menu that offers no choices — everyone gets the same soup, main course, salad and dessert. Though, the last time I was there, I told them when I made the reservation that one person in my party does not eat pork for religious reasons and sure enough they served her soup without the bacon garnish. The restaurant has a single large table in the lower level that might seat 10 to 12 and it essentially feels like a private room because there are no other tables on that level. It sort of feels like you are eating in a wine cellar and that's cause you sort of are doing just that. The toilet is on that level so you do see other diners heading there every so often. The food is very good. For a while it was the victim of its own success but it's still a very good choice. The wine pairings are well thought out and well priced. It's a wine bar/cave and they know what they are doing when they suggest a wine.

See if the menu at La Terrasse du 7eme will work for you? It's just a block from Rue Cler. They have an upstairs room that while not totally private is kept for smaller parties. I've had 2 Rick Steves tour dinners there. Each time there was another group of 10 or so on the other side of the room but it was no problem.

A suggestion in Saint Germain: Brasserie des Pres. I am not going to say the food is delicious but I will say it is not expensive.
