Free Eiffel Tower Tickets

Okay, because I am a bone head I bought three tickets Eiffel Tower tickets for the wrong day. $90.00 down the drain as all sales are final. The tickets are for 8:00 pm on May 19, 2018. I hate to waste them. If you are going to be in Paris at that time please let me know. I will email the three passes to you free of charge. They are summit passes and it will be an opportunity to see the sunset over Paris and view the lights of the city at night.

Easy to get the wrong day -- I once found and purchased a non-refundable bargain room on Mont St Michel ... Right day, wrong month. Sent you a PM.

It just so happens that the 19th day of our tour is on the 24th of the month of May. So I bought the tickets for the 19th instead of the 24th. Duh! Oh well. Hopefully somebody can use them that may not have been able to go otherwise. I'm cool with that.

I reserved a first-night hotel room for the night I was going to be on the plane crossing the Atlantic; caught it less than one day before the end of the free-cancellation period. Stuff happens. Sorry it happened to you.

Herbster,

It’s an unfortunate mistake. Whenever I book anything I’m always double checking the date as I’ve made this mistake before too.

It’s very generous of you to offer the tickets to someone else but I wonder if they can actually be used by anyone else since they have your names printed on them.

Wishing you a wonderful trip!

They can be used by someone else as I gave mine away too , and the lady did say they used them .

They don't look at the name , just date and time , they are funnelling thousands of folks up each day so they just get in with it .

Agree....they never look at the names on the tickets. Someone else could use them. This is very generous of you. Post on your Facebook too because you never know what friend of a friend may be able to use them.

I once made this mistake for non refundable first class train tickets from Rome to Milan. Consider it causalities of over vacation planning. Obviously you need a glass of wine! 😊😊

I went up to the top last September and they did not ask us for identification either. As long as the ticket is good, they will just scan it and send you on your way. Although needlessly spending the money is never ideal, I am happy to give somebody an opportunity that they may not have had otherwise. The tickets have already been requested and I have given them away. Paying it forward... I can only assume that the mistake was meant to be and that God or whatever forces are prevalent, intended those tickets go to the people that got them. I have been well blessed in this life and what is a small donation to others when I have spent thousands of dollars on my own trip?

@ Bets... Yes I bought replacements for the correct dates. Thank God that they had not sold out before I discovered my mistake!

Hello Herbster~
I would be willing to buy them from you if you still have them??
I waited to long and have been trying to see about going to lunch as a way to get up there... or waiting in a nightmare line.

Please let me know...
Respectfully,
Alison

Alison,

I'm sorry but I gave them away already. Are you solo? The person I gave them to may only need two of the three tickets that I gave her. If you are only in need of one, I can email her to see if she still has the remaining ticket. I would not take money from you though. If she has the third ticket still available, you are welcome to it.

This past Christmas we had a schedule change by our son meeting us in London. We had great seats at a Christmas program and returned them to the box office with the admonition "Merry Christmas from Kansas" to a lucky couple who got the tickets. The venue was long sold out. A few weeks afterwards we received a marvelous card and kind letter on stationery from an Embassy in Paris. It turns out that an Ambassador to France from a European country and his wife turned up at the right time and got the tickets. We've exchanged emails since then and they are soon to leave Paris and be reassigned to Beijing, Peoples Republic of China. We will likely visit them in Beijing in 2019. Amazing how one small good deed can lead to new friendships and more travel adventures.

Not to hijack your thread, but I didn't realize we need to book them so early. We will be there the first week of June. Which site do you recommend to book?
