France strikes and tourist

Greetings:

Is there any official site that can advise US travelers on how is the situation in France for the tourists?
The few news I can see, even such as France24, offer very little information considering the tourist.

I'm also registered in the US Department of State STEPS program, and it only says caution.

Do you have specific news from your contacts in France?

Thanks.

Welcome to the forum!

When are you traveling?

I'm going in mid-April and at this time do not expect much disruption. To me the most important thing to have when you are there is a way to check to see if there are closures on the Metro lines. I use both the official RATP app and the CityMapper app. I was there previously when there were some protests by the Gilets Jaune/Yellow Vests and I was not impacted at all.

For museums, I'll check the official museum website/FB/Twitter pages each AM for updated opening times before I set out if there are still transport strikes when I'm there.

Anything in particular you are worried about?

As far as demonstrations....they are usually pretty easy to avoid. They are localized usually.
