Flooding in Paris

Is anyone in Paris right now? I see, on the news, that there is flooding. Can you share your experiences? I'm heading there in a week's time. Thanks!

The River Seine is in flood with the crest soon expected. There is lots of information on this forum.
This link shows some interesting pictures. Because the areas downstream are water logged it is expected that the flooded Seine will drain slowly and thus the river will remain high for some time to come. If more rain comes later this week . . . .who knows???

There is no water in the streets of Paris.
The Louvre has taken protective measures for one of its wings.
The Seine cruises will probably not be running for a while...due to the slow descent of the water.

As to when the boat rides will begin again or when one can walk along the banks: this flooding was caused by December and January rainfall in Paris and upstream. As the locals said, water is going down slowly due to downstream flooding. Furthermore the snows in the mountains haven't started melting yet, so no one knows what may or may not happen this spring and early summer. As chexbres said, there's no water in the streets, but no one knows when boats will be able to get under the bridges.
