Flat rate Taxi to 7th arrondisement

Hi, we will be in Paris the end of this month. We were there about 10 years ago and I remember that we went to this taxi stand where we fall in line and paid a flat rate to get to our hotel. We will be on a delta flight. Is there still something like that? Thanks a lot for your help.

Prices just went up: it is now 56 for the right bank and 65 for the left bank. The 7th is on the left bank, so 65. Follow the signs to the official taxi queue. Do not go with anyone who asks 'need a taxi' or who tells you that 'this is the line for the suburbs, the line for Paris is over here.' These people are crooks and will rip you off. In some terminals there are footprints on the floor leading you to the official queue, but in any case there are signs and you follow those and ignore anyone who approaches you even if you are in the end of the taxi line. There will be a dispatcher at the head of the line who will point you to an official taxi. it is prudent to have your address printed on a piece of paper, with 65E to hand to the driver -- so he knows where you are going and that you know it is a fixed price.

Does anyone know if there is a similar flat rate taxi from the Gard do Nord train station?

The only flat rate taxi fares in Paris are for the trips to and from Orly and CDG. Tax fares for trips to or form Gare du Nord are based on the meter. Make sure to go to the official taxi line and even then be careful of ripoffs. I have had more than one taxi driver from the official line at Gare du Nord attempt to rip me off.

If possible use the metro from Gare du Nord. If you have too much luggage to do that, then be sure the meter is running; it is the place where you are most likely to be ripped off. ANY cabbie who quotes a flat price except from the airport (or to the airports) is cheating you.
