We are going to France for a 10 Day RS tour. Is it necessary to pre-register for EES entry? If not, about how much time should we add to our arrival at CDG and exit flight home from CDG?
As has been discussed on here many times, you cannot pre-register for EES - you do it on arrival. No-one can predict how long it will take - it depends on so many factors.
There is a pre registration (sort of) app that only applies to Portugal and Sweden - and even though I did pre register, Portugal's system wasn't working right anyways, so it was wasted time.
We just got back from CDG and when we arrived it was about 45 minutes from off the plane to getting train tickets. THis included passport check and EES check at the check points.
Here are a couple of recent threads about EES at CDG. I think the conclusion was "consistently inconsistent", lol.

Are you heading in to Paris before your tour or are you needing to catch a train?
We arrived at CDG from the US on 6/7 (Sunday morning around 9:30) - no EES. It was a short 10-minute line, a quick passport check, and then we were off. We left through Brussels to the US on 6/20 for a 10:00 AM flight - no EES - just a quick passport check.
I don't think anyone can give you an approximate time; it's too inconsistent.
Edited to add that we arrived at CDG from Chicago on United Airlines in Terminal 1.
It also may make a difference which Terminal you arrive at for CDG. Delta/Air France/KLM arrive at Terminal 2E. United is Terminal 1. American is Terminal 2A. Air Canada is 2C. If you are on an airline that I've not mentioned, go here to find out.

Each terminal seems to be doing it differently as well so it is helpful when people give their experiences to list what terminal/airline they were using.
