Any experience with EES at CDG since Friday April 10

Just curious if any recent non EU travelers, since Friday April 10, can report their experience getting through the EES gates at CDG? I know it all depends on whether the computers crash and that can happen at any time, but I'm wondering if all systems are working how long is the line?
We're arriving from Boston tomorrow Tues 4/14 at 10am. One of us is an EU citizen, the other is not so will be using the EES gates for the first time.

Thanks

I arrived CDG yesterday. There was no wait at immigration, the machines worked fine.

Thank you, that's great to hear. out of curiosity, what US airport did you fly out of? Also, what terminal did you come into? We're coming into 2E but my sister arrives into Terminal 1 (United)

We flew out of CDG on Saturday April 11th from Terminal 2E and did not use the EES machines, none of them were on/working or being used. We also did not use them entering CDG on April 4th. Of course, that may change when you fly into CDG on April 14th, but we did not have the pleasure of using the EES machines.

The lines entering Terminal 2E for our flight home were quite long and chaotic though, so expect to spend additional time in lines once the EES machines are fully online and people get used to them.

I am flying from Boston to CDG in May. I am a non EU traveler.

If you think of it, would you post about your experience with EES at CDG.

I arrived CDG Saturday April 11. EES machines were still not in use in Terminal 2E (I thought i already answered this question but I guess it didn't save).

Thank you Kim, good info.
I'm guessing this is going to be a moving target for the next several weeks. It will be interesting to hear of other's experiences.

I promise to post an update on our experiences when we return, April 23.

I flew EVA from Tokyo via Taiwan into terminal 1, arrived on the 10th. The process was smooth. Terminal 1 has had EES for some months and I have used it a number of times this year for flights on United and Singapore Airlines. Luckily, there have been no lengthy delays.

We flew in to CDG Wednesday from Salt Lake City, on Delta. The line for EES kiosks was short, and there were employees to help. The machine we were directed to didn’t read either of our passports, so she took us to another machine and after a couple of tries by the staffer, we were cleared. We were through the line in 10 minutes, max. A fellow traveler on our flight warned that it could be 3 hours, but that wasn’t at all our experience.

I also flew into CDG from Seattle on Wednesday to Terminal 2E on Delta. Arrived at M gate(need the tram to the main 2E).
Plane touched down at 13:07.
I was sent thru the EES process. There was no one else in the arrivals hall except people from my flight. . I walked right up to an open terminal, scanned my passport, answered 4 or 5 questions, did fingerprint scan (which took about 5 times cuz I’m old) then got in line for an agent as egates were not being used by the line I was in. Only 2 agents working our lines. For some people she was taking a photo and prints for others not. She was having to wait on the computer each time which seemed to be the hold up. I guess it was taking time to sync the info I’d put in 50 feet away with what she was seeing. Waited about 10 minutes there in line. The total time from entering the Sky Priority lanes at the back of the room, walking the empty zigzag lanes, the EES kiosk, waiting and seeing an agent it was probably 20 minutes.

I hopped in the cab at 1355 and was at my hotel at 1500 on the dot.

I think this process will depend on how many flights arrive at the same time.

I came into Terminal E and took the tram to baggage and was able to use the sky priority line which was a bit shorter than the general line. BUT there was no EES. We were just run though the automatic gates as in the past. No fingerprinting or questionnaire to fill out. So it appeared to not be working today. We were from arrival gate to cab in about 45 minutes and that was with a long walk, a tram wait and ride, and another long walk to the immigration hall. Line itself was no more than 15 minutes and our luggage was up when we finished (which surprised me as we have often had long waits for luggage at CDG.

Thanks all. Our experience on arrival was similar to others. Arrived at 10:30 am on Tuesday 14 April, terminal 2, air France flight and the whole process took less than 20 minutes. The biggest delays were from people not holding their passport down properly or not removing hats, glasses or not standing still. But there were attendants assisting.
At the time it looked like we were the only flight arriving then and we were around the first 20 people in line.
I'll update on a few days with our departure experience.

Update - CDG Departures
We flew out of Terminal 2E on Tues, 4/21. Our Delta flight was supposed to take off at 11:45 am, it was delayed to 12:10 pm at the time we left our hotel and further delayed until 12:45pm on take off.

We arrived at the airport around 8:40am. The longest line was at the Delta ticket/self check in/luggage tag kiosks. We went to an assistant who handled printing out our luggage tags and gave us printed boarding passes, then we waited to use the "automated" checked bag drop off. There were 4 or 5 stations, only 2 were working and both had problems - the people using them kept getting their luggage rejected for being over 24 kg. One person who was the first in a group of 4 passengers, all with large suitcases, noted that the scale said it was only 23.5 kg. One attendant was running between the 2 stations that were in use. I managed to go over to the regular check in desk and the attendant quickly weighed my bag (10kg) and accepted it but the other folks were still there struggling. Lesson learned, it's probably easier to use the regular check in desk rather than the self check in/ bag drop kiosks. That's what I usually do but this time the kiosks were right out front and attendants were directing people to them, I didn't see the regular check in desk way in the back until afterward.
As for EES/Passport control departing, it was easy. In fact, the non EU line was faster than the EU line. There was no waiting and the kiosks seem to be operating smoothly. My sister flew out of Terminal 1 (United) around the same time and also breezed through although they had mobility assistance and were flying business class so I don't know if that mattered.
All in all, I'd say the EES system worked well, but like any part of flying, it all depends on the crowds at a given time and if the computers are working well at the time.

Thank you for the update. My trip begins in less than two weeks and I hope my experience at CDG is as easy as yours.

I am also flying Delta and I plan to go to the counter to check my bag.

When we arrived, we spent less than 10 minutes getting through. Fastest it's ever taken us.
