Bed and Breakfasts in the Loire valley

Hello,

I will be spending 3 nights in the Loire end of May. Any good B & B recommendations in Amboise? Thank you

Shoshana,

My daughter and I enjoyed our three night stay at, La Grange Chambres' B&B (recommended in RS France book), in Amboise in June 2016.

We were the only guests at the time, so it was lovely and quiet.
Yveline Savin, the owner, was out of town when we arrived, but she entrusted our care to her friend who lived a few homes up the street. This B&B was quiet and comfortable. We had a very spacious room with a view of the street below, and a delicious breakfast every morning.

Enjoy your time in France!

Do consider having a delicious meal at Chez Bruno, on the street facing the Amboise Castle (40 Place Michel Debré, 37400 Amboise)
We had 2 delicious dinners there 2 nights in a row. Make sure you save room for dessert! {Reservations required}

Les Fleurons is highly regarded in Amboise, and is the first place I would recommend to any of our clients looking for accomodation

Not sure how well Sawday's is known to American travellers, but he is a well respected travel writer in the UK. I always use his book as my starting point to find accommodation in France. Here is a link to his website with recommendations in the Loire Valley including Amboise and surrounds.

I would highly, highly recommend La Grange Chambers. We stayed there for three nights 4-5 years ago. The owners were friendly and welcoming. The room was incredibly spacious and there were charming common areas to use. The breakfast was wonderful. I just can’t say enough good things about it.

The organization I prefer to use for B&B’s is Gîtes-de-France, one of the if not the largest in France and during many years never had a bad experience. Rooms always meet some basic standards and offer good value for the money. For the Loire region you can fill in for instance Amboise.
