I was looking at the Paris metro website - it looks like tere are "disruptions" to the RER C line. Can anyone confirm?
Yes there are. I posted a topic about this called something like Some RER and Metro Closures may disrupt your Paris travel plans . . .
just look a little further down the page, or here's the link
Thanks Kim - I did see that post. However, I was just looking at the map closely - we will be near the Orsay stop. That whole swath stations of RER is closed? Is the train line running? Our plan was to hope on the RER at Orsay to make it to Versailles - easy peasy. It won't be so easy or convenient anymore! ugh!
Exactly. The Orsay stop is in the stretch of the RERC that is now closed.
Yes RER C is unavailable after Javel stop. We stay near Orsay and took metro 12 from Rue Du Bac to Sevre Babylon and 10 to Javel to catch RER C. Versailles is outstanding and we are glad we visited.
Currently in Paris. Took RER C yesterday. RER is open between Javel and Versailles. The rest of it is closed for construction/renovations. Javel station and nearby Metro were very crowded due to this.
