Salzburg food tours?

After taking an absolutely fantastic food tour in Belfast ( such a great way to meet locals and really see the city), we're looking for something similar in Salzburg for 2025. Suggestions anyone?

I'll be interested to read any responses you get. I've been to Salzburg and love it, but I don't think of it as a culinary destination. Beer and sausage and cooked red cabbage. Salzburg had a fun market where you could sample bakery product and sausages. Maybe look in the RS guide for a guide for a walking tour where you'd meet a local, and I would guess some tasting at some shops.

bumping the thread in hopes someone replies. We're going to be in Salzburg in Sept and would like to do a food tour if one is available.

You can check with either 'secretsalzburg.org' or 'with locals.com' to see what food tours might be offered when you are there.

I can't help with a food tour, but we did a cooking class that we absolutely loved! Edelweiss is the company and we made apple strudels. They also had a goulash already prepared for us for lunch, so while everything was baking we sat around together and had a wonderful lunch and got to know the others in the class. So I know this is not what you were asking about, but it might be an alternative.

Whatever else you do in Salzburg, I'd strongly recommend at least a brief visit to the Augustinerbräu-Kloster Mülln, located northwest of the Altstadt. It's not a culinary Nirvana, but it's absolutely unique and great fun. I agree that, overall, Salzburg isn't really a foodie destination, but then I wouldn't expect Belfast to be, either. Food in the Altstadt is much of a muchness.
