Rue Cler restaurant on RS Tour?

Hello fellow RS travelers,

We went on the RS Best of Paris and Loire Valley tour a couple of years ago. It began in the Rue Cler area, where we walked from our hotel to a great restaurant with the best French Onion soup in the world IMHO-- After dinner the entire RS group went to the rooftop for drinks, to socialize and to see the twinkling light display of the Tour Eiffel.

Does anyone know the name of this restaurant? We're going back this year and want to return.

Merci beaucoup!
Paulette

The section of rue Cler where RS tours hangout can't be more than a couple of blocks. Surely you would recognize it as you walk by.

It was probably La Terrasse du 7-iéme. We've been on two RS tours that ate there. I remember the group gathering on the rooftop terrace after our "last supper" on the Best of Europe tour.

I suspect it was La Terrasse du 7eme. It’s not on Rue Cler but is right beside the Ecole Militaire Metro stop. I’ve eaten there twice on RS tours and now usually eat there or have an afternoon glass of wine on my return trips.

Here is the location on Googlemaps.

Be careful of the URL posted and the website to the restaurant. Asks you update your flash player. IT IS A VIRUS!!!

The link is to googlemaps with La Terrasse located on it. I don't get any kind of pop up when I use it from another device and I've not planted any kind of virus in the link. I also wouldn’t have the vaguest notion of how to do so anyway!

I'm sorry this is happening to you but I am a very responsible person and this was just a map link I sent thru tinyurl to make smaller.

Sorry. Not suggesting you did anything. When it goes to google maps and you click on the restaurant's website link it then starts a download. I was just letting people know. I think the virus is attached to the restaurants link. It happens. Again, I was not insinuating anything about your involvement.

Thank you all for your replies. I took at look at Terasse and I'm pretty sure that's it. When we get to Paris we'll scoot over there and make sure.

I don't think you can actually go up to the upstairs terrace unless you are with a group. The Group dining room is upstairs and the terrace opens off of that.

Ahhhh, such sweet memories of recounting my 21 BOE highlights up there with a little champagne and wonderful travel mates.

Pam, that restaurant sounds wonderful and phannah, thanks for asking the question. I will be in Paris, staying in this area for 10 days and for sure will be checking it out.
