quiet restaurants

Do you know of an app, a website or any where else I can find a list of restaurants (for whatever city we are in) where they don't blast your ears with music? I don't mind quiet music, but it is important for me to talk with my companion/partner, when we are eating. Either I am getting more sensitive with age (and diminishing hearing) or they are turning up the volume.

I am in Ancona (Italy) at the moment and yesterday I passed a restaurant with music so loud I had change to the other side of the piazza to pass it :-(

I agree, I don't understand why restaurants feel the need to blast loud music. It may appeal more to the younger crowd. Try doing a search for "quiet restaurants" for whatever area or city you are in. We have often asked politely for management to turn down the volume and they usually comply.

I tried the app yesterday in the restaurant ODA, which was listed as "unchecked". SInce there was no music at all I nominated it for the "Quiet List".

Luck on first try.
