The River House is exceptional, but you need to get a reservation well in advance; it's very small and very popular. I agree Mustard Seed is very good also. Other ideas: Black Isle Pizza for very good craft beer and pizza, and Hootenanny as a good pub with great live music.
Enjoy Inverness; it's one of my favorite places!
