Gluten-Free Pasta Dishes in Rome

I'm visiting Roma next month and am gluten sensitive. How easy or hard is to find gluten-free pasta dishes at restaurants?

Italians are very tuned in to celiac disease and gluten issues. It every restaurant will have the pasta but many will. When you reserve, look closely at their websites and ask if you want clarification. Many places now take online reservations, BTW.

No problems. Seriously no trouble finding GF in Italy. It’s hard to believe but true. We traveled to Italy last fall Venice, Florence and Rome for 16 days. My daughter has Celiac disease and she and her husband (newlyweds) traveled with us. She did use an app to locate gluten free places and she found many. All of our hotels offered GF options. She was even able to find restaurants that served nothing but GF so no worries about cross contamination. We enjoyed some delicious meals! I agree with the above post that Italians are very aware of gluten allergies. Happy travels, happy meals, no pun.

I've found that most restaurants have gluten-free pasta, but it may not be listed on the menu. Just ask.

My Wife and I were in Rome early May of this year. My wife also has a gluten sensitivity. We used the find me gluten free app quite a bit and found it extremely useful.
