Hey, we're going to day trip it over to Aegina in early Oct and am reading a lot of mixed reviews of restaurants in/on Aegina. Does anyone have favorite restaurant recs for a solid place to eat and have a drink (does not have to be fish focused, does not have to blow our minds), but just solid service, solid reliable tasty food. A good view wouldn't hurt.

We greatly enjoyed Thymari Restaurant which is on A55, the main street , such as it is, of Agia Marina on the island's east side. Of course, this is always subjective, but it is one of our favorite restaurants in Europe. We ate there a number of times on our last visit in June and we saw a lot of the same people every time we ate there so I guess others enjoyed it as well. Absolutely no view - it is right on the street - except for people watching.
Kaliva Restaurant on the street down to the port is also good, we usually eat there once on each trip. Nice people, nice view though the food is not quite as good as Thymari.

My number one pick would be "Ouzeri O Skotadis". It is not right on the water but close enough to enjoy a quick walk around the harbor after dinner.
