We have been in Italy for a month. The food has been mostly ok. Some above average, some just average and a couple below average. We eat out once a day and do Dunch (lunch and dinner combined). We like a sit down restaurant and anything from casual to slightly upscale works for us.
Today we finally had an outstanding meal at Dalla Lola in Florence on the Oltrarno side. I found it by searching this forum. Apparently, Stanley Tucci also recommends. The menu is handwritten and the server tells you about each dish. I was able to ask questions about the dishes as he was explaining them. It is very casual. You may sit at a farmhouse style table with other folks not in your party. Highly recommended!!👍🏻😋
