How do you use your empty Bonne Maman jars?

drinking glasses? seedling pots (careful about drilling drainage holes)

I use some (with their lids of course!) to stash sewing notions -- ribbons, bits of elastic, Velcro etc.

I usually recycle, but I have used them to keep change, backs of earrings, pens, etc. FYI Costco has a very large jar -36 oz.- of the Four Fruit Preserves for $10.99. I love Bonne Maman. Worth every penny!

I use the Costco-size jars as a liner for a large flower vase, or to hold snacks like jelly beans or mixed nuts. I keep a couple of the "normal" size jars handy to mix up a quick batch of tartar sauce right in the jar for fish or raspberry puree for waffles. We used to use lots of them to jar honey when my husband was in his beekeeping phase. The mini-size that you would get in a restaurant or a jam sampler can hold my daily pills on the bathroom windowsill so I don't forget to take them, a couple of Tums by the bedside or my favorite earrings when I take them off.

Ha ha, Kim, I do the same thing! I also have used them for drinking glasses. Once I filled several with some brightly colored candy, and gave them to my grandkids.

these all sound good -- I notice now on etsy and similar that people are turning the jars into tchotchkes that they re-sell.

A couple of obvious uses are

• sugar bowl (esp. if you have a checked tablecloth or napkins, or are putting together a provencal pique nique basket)

• pens and pencils cup

• toothbrush holder

A not-so-obvious use:

• podium stand for a smart speaker.

Depending on how you keep it empty or fill it with various substances, the sound quality of the speaker will vary.

Used them to make luminarias along the sides of the front wak to the house forca party. Used the metal lids as sauucers under the upright jars, which we filled with about a hag-inch of sand with lit votive candles & again with no sand using battery-operated votive candles.

great idea, chasnelson3 !

I think it could be even better if the lids-used-as-saucers had shiny interiors, to add to the light scatter
