My three sisters and I will be flying out of Heathrow Terminal 3 (Delta Airlines) to JFK on a mid-morning flight. Will be arriving back in London fairly late the night before we fly out, so looking for a decent, economical hotel and good breakfast before flying back home. Any recommendations?
There are lots of threads here on the forum that have plenty of recommendations. Here is are a couple of threads that discuss hotels at or near Terminal 3.

For Terminal 3, you should probably focus on the hotels located on Bath Rd just
north of LHR. You can take the TFL bus (there is an overpriced option called
Hotel Hoppa as well, but 4 of you will save $50 or so if you avoid it) and pick
a hotel near one of the stops.
Most of the hotels in that area are not 5*, but will do for one night. Another
option, if you're coming into downtown London, is to stay near Paddington
and take the Elizabeth Line to the airport in the morning. It is much faster
than the Piccadilly Line. This might get you checked in and asleep faster
than going out to the airport later in the evening, and you still probably
wouldn't have to leave for the airport before 7 or 7:30am (assuming mid-
morning means 10 or 11am).
Either the bus or the tube will let you off in between T2 and T3, and you
have a ~10 minute walk to the terminal itself.
Just remember the buses go in the opposite direction of what you're used to.
I fly in and out of Terminal 3 a great deal. The hotel I use is the Hilton Garden Inn T2 & 3.
Technically, it is connected to T2 but it's less than a 10 minute walk underground to T3. No need to deal with busses or trains.
Their breakfast buffet is very good.
