Did a great 5 day tour of Devon and Cornwall from London and it was great.

Our tour guide/ driver was David and he was fantastic. It was five days starting at 9am near Victoria Station, ending at 6pm four days later. We had two nights in Exeter and two nights in Falmouth.
David was very familiar with where to visit and how to save time getting there. Also, he had great knowledge of British history.

The tour company was Rabbie's Tours. David drove a smaller bus with seats for about 15, but we only had 11 on the tour.
The tour cost was great, we paid a little one a 1000 pounds to Rabbie's. We did have to pay directly to our B&Bs for lodging, which ran about 230 pounds per night. All breakfasts were included and we paid four all our other meals. We rarely ate lunch after a health breakfast.

I'm glad you had a good experience, geovagriffith! I love Cornwall and especially Devon, and Falmouth is one of my favorite places. One of these days, I need to take a Rabbies tour—I keep promoting them because of all the good reviews, but it would be nice to see for myself. :-)

I’m glad you enjoyed the tour. Adding the link for those who might be interested:

I took my first multi-day Rabbie’s tour earlier this year and enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to. It’s such a great way to tour. You get the transportation and local guide with plenty of independent time.

I’ll have to take a closer look at this tour.

I’m curious how you spent your time before and after the tour. Did you stay at a hotel near Victoria Station so you could walk to the departure/drop-off point?

We stayed at the Premier Inn Victoria that was two blocks from the Rabbie's pickup point.

Also, it is three blocks from where the National Express bus from Heathrow dropped us off.

I appreciate the information on the hotel. It sounds like a very convenient place to stay for the Rabbie’s tours. I also have my eye on their 5-day Wales tour.

This sounds interesting as we'll be touring London through the 16th - however Rabbies doesn't have a tour until the 20th. Are there other similar tour companies that provide the same or similar itinerary ? I am hoping to find one that leaves on Friday, 17 Oct 2025.

I researched trying to find a tour of Devon and Cornwall and couldn't find one except for Rabbies.

The pickup and drop off point for our Rabbies tour was

"Our London departure point is located at stand 3 in the Greenline Coach Station, Bulleid Way, Victoria, SW1W 9SH. This is located directly south of London Victoria railway station and on the opposite side of Buckingham Palace Road from Victoria Coach Station*.

Was your trip in the spring or summer geovagriffith? I have read the crowds are very formidable during the summer months in that part of England. I think a tour like this would be a great option for those of us who don’t drive and have time constraints getting to the areas further from London. This one and the 5 day Wales trip they have are definitely on my radar. Thanks for the review!

Trip was last month, July 2025. A busy time in the UK, especially in London.

Our guide on the Rabbies tour was great, he saved time taking back roads that were not clogged and we never seemed overrun with crowds.

I did that tour in May 2024 and it was a great experience. I think Dave was our driver too. Did he put together a music playlist on Spotify with everyone’s requests and play it on the bus for you?
I certainly was happy not to have to worry driving on the narrow and some pretty curvy roads. The highlights for me were Minack Theater, Tintagel Castle and Port Isaac.

At the end of the tour, he gave a couple of choices of drop off locations on the way back to the original pick up point. I must say, the check in was a bit unorganized. There were no visible signs that say Rabbies check in. No one was there associated with Rabbies. The area was like a bus stop on the side of the bus terminal. There were many people waiting and the consensus was we were all waiting for our Rabbies tour buses. Several buses pulled up almost an hour late due to some technical difficulties. We all got sorted out in the end. The check in process in Edinburgh was much more organized but maybe that’s because Rabbies is based there.

We were staying at a hotel in Hammersmith having already been in London a week. We Ubered to the pick up point.

Dave did play a great assortment of music.

We booked the nearby Premier Inn so we could walk to the bus pickup easily. We visited it the day before to make sure it was the correct place.
Dave was able to round up everyone on our tour, since when the Rabbies bus showed up everyone went for the bus.
