We are flying out of Heathrow at 6:30am from T5 and would like to know the best accommodation to get around Heathrow airport. We have to drop off our hire car the day before at Heathrow so I thought this was the best option. Can someone offer some suggestions please?

The Sofitel is within a short walk of T5, but is a bit expensive. There are several others nearby that would require a taxi or a shuttle bus. You can Google Heathrow T5 hotels

I stayed at the Sofitel a couple of weeks ago. The walk from the hotel to T5 is completely indoors as the hotel is attached to the terminal.

I recently stayed at the Thistle Hotel Terminal 5 for an early flight. It is essentially in an adjacent airport parking lot. You get to and from Terminal 5 via driverless pods that take 5 minutes. They start at 4 AM.It is a cool way to get between the hotel and the terminal. There is a charge to use it but even so it is much less expensive than the Sofitel .The hotel itself is not fancy but is certainly fine for an overnight at a reasonable cost. We went for the upgraded room which is around 10 pounds more. Dinner at the restaurant was fine,nothing special . We didn't
do breafastcas our flight was early. The rooms are better than the outside appearance. I would stay again if I needed to be by Terminal 5 .
If budget is not an issue then the Sofitel is a nicer property as others have said.
