Heathrow Terminal 5 Hotel

We have a 1400 flight out of Heathrow with Brit Air in early June.
Can somebody please recommend a nearby hotel for the previous night. It doesn't have to be located at Heathrow, but perhaps at a nearby hamlet with easy taxi cab access to Terminal 5.

We always stay at the LHR Sofitel and have had excellent experiences there. One time I arrived as I was becoming ill. They went all out taking care of me. We always stay there when at LHR.

By far the most convenient option, not to mention the nicest, is the Sofitel that suki mentioned - located just a short stroll over to T5.
A nice budget alternative is the Premier Inn on Bath road - about a 15 minute taxi ride (maybe USD $20) to the terminal. We like that one whenever we're unwilling to splurge on the Sofitel. It's about a half mile level walk to the village of Harmondsworth where you'll find a couple of very nice pubs for dinner and/or a pint.

Thanks for the replies. Does anybody else have any suggestions? Nearby hotels/BnBs within easy taxi access to Terminal 5?

Don’t limit yourself to thinking terminal 5 or Bath Road. There are hotels accessed by a covered walkway from Terminal 4. The Crowne Plaza and the Premier Inn Terminal4 are my favorites. You simply take a free transfer between terminals on the tube and you are at Terminal 5.

I will say, if you can swing it, the Soffitel is a nice splurge.

There is the Hilton Garden Inn at Terminal 2 and the Aerotel at Termianal 3. Both are easily connected via free underground travel from Terminal 5.

But, as stated, if you can afford the Sofitel, it's a nice hotel and very easy to get to T5. I've stayed a few times.

Thanks again for the suggestions but I don't really want to swing it for the Sofitel.

Does anybody have any knowledge of the Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 on Poyle Road in Colbrook?

I do not, but I've stayed several times at the T4 Premier Inn. I prefer not to have to count on a bus or a taxi to get me to and from the airport. That Premier Inn is walkable, through a covered walkway. I just take the Underground from T4 to the appropriate terminal.

I know Hilton T5 well, in fact I put conferences there.

Transport from T5 isn't fab and it is a fair distance from the terminal, several miles, and there is nothing around but industrial estate, but the hotel itself is very pleasant. airy and more modern than on first glance.

The food is good. The staff are friendly, at least to me.

I have never stayed there - I'm reasonably local and don't usually stay in London - but I have visited it in the course of venue searches many times.

When I am on the airport I regularly stay at the Crowne Plaza Terminal 4 - my favourite hotel in London. I had my 45th wedding anniversary at the Crowne Plaza T4.

If you are considering going off airport to the Hilton T5, you could consider some of the on-airport hotels at T2/3 and T4 as well as the excellent Sofitel T5.

Free Heathrow Express and Elizabeth Line trains on the airport link T5 with T2/3 and free Elizabeth Line trains link T2/3 with T4. Once in the above ground tunnel at T4 you have a short walk to the Hilton T4, and then the combined Crowne Plaza T4 and Holiday Inn Express T4, and then at the end of the above ground tunnel is the Premier Inn T4. So all price points are somewhere on or near the airport. If you are looking at the Holiday Inn Express T5, be aware that the location is even worse than the Hilton T5 and on a busy road. That accounts for why they usually have some of the lowest prices around.

I hope this helps.

Oh, by the way all the Heathrow Terminals are also linked by free Tube trains and there are buses too. All explained on the Heathrow website.

Thank you Nigel. I play Fender Precision Bass, the only bass worth playing.

If Paul had played a Fender P, the Beatles songs would have been way better.

I have learned that having money for holidays in Europe is more important than having numerous high quality basses. This is Old Me talking, not the Young Me of decades ago.

LOL. Agree on the $ for European holidays, but sometimes I just wish my Old Me would shut up.

P.S. Yay, Delta! I'm from Richmond.
