Queen's Gate Hotel

We are considering this hotel for our London stay. Has anyone stayed there? Good? Bad?

I haven’t stayed there but i had a Airbnb a couple blocks from it. Great location for sure. 5 minute walk to Gloucester Road tube station. Close to the Natural History Museum and the V&A Museum also Royal Albert Hall.

I assume you mean this one?

We have not stayed there but I have looked at places nearby, as the location is very attractive. I see it gets good reviews and a rating of 8.3 (“very good”) on booking.com. That might be persuasive enough for me. I particularly like the hardwood floors and overall modern look.

If you do not get any responses from personal experience, you could consult those reviews. I don’t see any that would put me off, but if you are very tall (like 6’4”) you might pay attention to the comments about “short beds”.

The Queens Gate Hotel that is in Lola's link is a different property from the one reviewed by SandyO and myself.

The one she and I reviewed, 100 Queens Gate Hotel, is several blocks south of the hotel in the title of this thread.

Just to make things interesting, in addition to the two mentioned above, there is a 54 Queens Gate Hotel, and a 130 Queens Gate Apartments.

But I think the one I linked is the one the OP is asking about—-it is the one with no number attached.

We stayed in a Mews House on Queen’s Gate, great area. Good pub there with that name too.

My review of it from a stay years ago wouldn't be worth much, if it's the same hotel, but agree that it's a good area to stay. This discussion did remind me how typically confusingly British the street names were in that area: Queen's Gate, Queen's Gate Road, Queen's Gate Street, Queen's Gate Park, Queen's Gate Avenue, Queen's Gate Mews, Queen's Gate Park Mews, Queen's Gate Mews Road, Queen's Gate Gardens, Queen's Gate Garden Mews, Queen's Gate Park Garden Mews . . . . I perhaps exaggerate a bit, but only a bit.
