Hello,
I plan to visit my family in Italy in late May/early June.
Can someone tell me whether I should be able to drive my car from UK to Italy, crossing France, Germany and Austria? will I need to carry some sort of self-certification? thanks.

Since the French border authorities will turn you away before you board the ferry or Eurotunnel it is unlikely that you will reach France, much less drive through it.

By the way, you have posted your question in the Day Tours forum. You might have more readership if you post it in a more general Forum. Since you are intending to go through multiple countries perhaps General Europe would be the better forum.
