Hello, going to be in Split for several days next month and looking for good restaurant recommendations. Seafood and local cuisine is preferred. Will also be traveling to several of the islands (Hvar, Korcula, Brac) on a bike and boat if you have any favorite restaurants to pass on for those locations.

My favourites on Hvar are Konoba Kokot in Dol, Konoba Vrisnik in Vrisnik and Eremitaz in Stari Grad, but I am not sure when they open after the winter break and they may still be closed.

Some years ago in Split we liked Ristorante Pizzeria Galija, on a side street near the promenade, good seafood pizza, gnocchi, salads. Local cuisine - cevapicici stands! In Korcula - Konoda Marinero, another side street with outside tables, best fresh tomatoes of the whole trip, & brodet, fish stew with polenta. Local cookies - round puffs filled with ground figs&nuts&rose petals, wow. Check that they're still in business - hope so. Loved Croatia!

Tavern Buffet Fife on Trumbiceva Obala 11 was recommended. I have it on my list to check out this summer. It is in Split.

We ate at restaurant Fif yesterday and it was very good. The squid was exceptional and good prices. The place was extremely busy which is always a good sign.
