My wife and I just returned form a week in Dubrovnik.
We stayed at Dubrovnik Gardens which is very near the Jesuit Stairs behind a nondescript green steel door. It's also next door to a very good restaurant called Kopun (sp?) - use that for guidance rather than Google Maps location... We highly recommend both the hotel and restaurant.
Room was actually a small cottage with private fenced in area and small outdoor table. Very quiet and peaceful even though you're literally a stones throw away from the action in the square. We also had cats come and visit us as we drank wine outside after a long day of touristing. COVID test clinic <2 minutes walk away halfway down the stairs then turn down alley to get testing required for reentry back to US. Only took 30 minutes to get results.
Owner Roberto treats you like a visiting cousin and spent time discussing Dubrovnik, Croatia, the world and everything else. Very nice to be treated like that rather than a hotel guest..
Again, we highly recommend this place if you stay in Dubrovnik.
