Where to get COVID test in Lisbon for return flight to United States

I was considering bringing our own iHealth tests and paying $25 each for the telehealth part but it might be easier and better to get a test done at a clinic. Any suggestions or advice? I was trying to find info about getting a test done at the airport but can't get any definitive info on that. I do also know I need the test I take to be on this list: https://ec.europa.eu/health/system/files/2022-03/covid-19_rat_common-list_en_1.pdf

I saw TAP offers at airport testing but I am flying on Virgin Atlantic. Thanks!!

UPDATE: Found this but testing at the airport is EXPENSIVE unless you are flying TAP.

  1. Are there COVID tests sites at the airport? Yes, in the public areas of our airports there are laboratories where you can perform TAAN ( ex: RT-PCR) and TRAg ( antigen).

Carefully check the type of test, timeframe for completion and certification requirements before booking a test and ensure that there is enough time for you to receive the results and all certification required before your flight.

You can take tests at the following locations:

Lisbon Airport:

Public Area: Synlab Laboratory (P1 car park) - from 6:00 am - 10:00 pm

Public Area: UCS Laboratory (next to Premium TAP) - from 6:00 am - 10:00 pm

I just did the BinaxNow/eMed proctored test on Sunday to fly home Monday. In my previous two returns, I'd done testing at clinics, and this was by far easier and faster, and a little cheaper.

Oh that is great advice. I started to set up appointments at a local Farmacia Internacional but I may just do the iHealth as we already have four tests. Thank you!

I thought I would note, for any other travelers returning to US from abroad, the CDC does not use a 24 hour time period. Instead, they do it by the DAY. So if you travel on a Friday, no matter what time you leave day or night on that Friday, you can get your test done anytime on Thursday.

Theresa- That's right re: the timing. My flight was at 12:30 Monday, so check-in opened at 12:30 Sunday. I did the test after breakfast on Sunday morning, immediately uploaded the result to AA's document portal, and was easily able the check in when that opened.
