Need to know just when ID and health documents (eg dPLF, CDC card) will be needed for our upcoming trip from US to Italy. We leave home aboard a connecting flight to Philadelphia, take off from there to Venice. At which airport do we process these documents? Or, will it be in Venice?
PLF no longer needed
Your airlines should have an upload in their “travel ready” section
United does
I assume you are flying American?
If you can’t upload CDC card pre flight you will show it at check in from your departure airport
Nobody asked to see anything when we handed in Rome 2 weeks ago, other than passport
Masks are still required on flights to Italy, N95 or equivalent and it is enforced
Also needed at VCE and on public transportation in Venice- bus or vaporetto
Italy is no longer requiring a PLF. I am flying to Rome one week from tomorrow on Delta. I had to upload my vax card to the Delta Fly ready app and input my passport info and that's it. Simple!
Thanks people for the replies; all good info. It is American. Their app branches to "VeriFLY". I'm attempting to complete the information but cannot as it only allows departures up to 8 days away, So, I don't yet know what happens in the process.
Try again once you are within the 8 days
You’ll find it to be pretty simple.
You should get an email from American telling you to start your online check in when it’s time.
