Transiting USA from UK to Mexico Covid Testing

Hi Everyone,

Can't find much info on this anywhere. Flying to Mexico in a few weeks with a 2 hour layover in Houston, just wondering if we are required to do a PCR test for the stopover?

Mexico clearly has no testing requirements but wanted to check if we need to test as the US still requires negative tests, usually countries don't ask for this but as the USA requires visa waivers for transit I figured they may ask for a negative test before boarding also.

I'm sure the airline is going to require it, as you'll "clear in" to the US for even just the transit.

Can be antigen - doest have to be PCR. Within 1 day of your departure, so at any time the day before you leave the UK.
