Hi all. I’m planning a train trip for this summer from France to Italy to Austria - Germany- Belgium-Paris. Boosted, insured, etc…. What are people’s experiences crossing borders? I know that summer is far away in Covid times…
If you are within the Schengen zone (most of Europe) -- there are no borders. Just like going from state to state.
Even with Covid? I hope so. No change from before then
Thanks!!!
Things are constantly evolving... A few months ago, arriving by train in Paris at Gare du Nord, we were met on the platform by French police and had to present our EU QR Codes (or I guess for Americans, the CDC card/proof of vaccination) before we could enter the station. Coming home from Paris - on a very crowded Thalys train - we had to show tickets and again proof of vaccination (which seemed like a strange time to do that as the train was going about 175 mph at the time!).
Thank you! That’s what I was wondering about, because each country can make its own restrictions
